DreamTales makes personal, illustrated bedtime stories that parents share with their children at bedtime. The child's name and age are woven into a calm tale, read aloud page by page. The hero in every story is an illustration figure, never a photo, and never a likeness of the child.
Today the stories are written and drawn by AI in gentle house styles. They are warm and they work, but we believe they can carry something more: a real voice, and a real line.
Our vision is that a family will one day choose a story told in a real author's voice and style, and illustrated in a real illustrator's line. Always with clear credit to the creator, and always with a written agreement behind it. Never without one.
Authors and illustrators in the Nordics, whether you are established or just starting out, who write or draw for children and are curious about what it could mean to lend your style to bedtime stories.
This is not a call for submissions, and we are not recruiting. We are curious, and we want to talk with people who make things for children about what this could become.
Write a few lines about yourself and your work to kontakt@dreamtales.no. We read everything, and we reply ourselves.
To be plain with you: this is an early invitation to a conversation. Nothing is promised about terms yet, and that is exactly why we want to talk with creators first.
Warm greetings from William, the creator of DreamTales.
