What DreamTales is

DreamTales makes an illustrated fairy-tale story for your child: the name, age, and figure you choose for them are woven into the tale, with pictures and narration page by page. It is made by intrk for families like yours. This page explains, plainly, what it does and why it is safe to share with your child.

Our purpose, and how it works

We want bedtime to feel special: a shared moment where the story belongs to your evening and a figure you shape is at the heart of it. That is the whole point of DreamTales, and every choice we have made serves it.

Here is what happens behind the scenes, honestly. The name, age, gender, and skin tone you choose become a figure in the story, never a photo or likeness of your real child. When you make a story, your choices are sent to a large AI model running on Google Cloud, which writes the words, draws an illustration for every page, brings scenes to life as short video clips, and reads the whole story aloud. We do not write each story by hand, and we do not pretend to. What we DO write, and keep refining, is the detailed recipe the AI works from: a set of rules that builds a proper fairy tale with a real beginning, a small journey, and a satisfying ending, keeps the main figure kind, matches the language to the age you chose, and stays far away from anything frightening or unsafe for a young child.

On top of that, we have built our own director layer: software we wrote that decides how the pieces fit together, when a page turns, how the pictures, motion, video, and narration are timed and cut into one flowing storybook, with the words lighting up in time with the voice. The AI makes the raw material; our director assembles it into the experience on screen, always inside the same boundaries.

We do not publish that recipe word for word, the same way a publisher does not print its house style guide inside every book, but we are open about what it is for: shape, warmth, and safety, every single time. The AI fills in the imagination; the boundaries, and the way it all comes together, are ours.

Your child's privacy

No child photos, ever. DreamTales never takes, uploads, or stores a photo, and it never creates a likeness of your child. For each child it keeps only what you as the parent choose: a first name, an age, a girl or boy choice, a skin tone, and a figure from a small set. From those choices the AI draws the story's main character in the art style you pick, matched to your child's age, never from a real picture of your child. Your child's name appears only in the words of the story, never in the picture.

How stories are kept gentle and safe

The stories are written by AI, but not left to chance. The AI works inside a detailed recipe we have built: every story follows a proper fairy-tale structure and dramaturgy, with a calm beginning, a small journey, and a gentle resolution toward sleep. That same recipe sets firm boundaries for what may happen in a story for a young child, so the tone stays warm and age-appropriate by design, not by luck.

Every story is written as a warm, calm bedtime arc: no real peril, one quiet lesson, winding down toward sleep. The main character is always kind and friendly, and nothing a real child could imitate at home is ever shown.

Before a story is ever saved it passes through layers of screening: the AI's own safety filter is switched on for both words and pictures, and a separate automated check reads the title, every page, and every illustration prompt on our server. If something trips the check, the story is rewritten once; if it trips again, it is stopped rather than shown to your child.

No automatic filter is perfect, so this is layered screening rather than a guarantee. You can report any story straight from the player if something does not feel right, so we can look at it.

Where your data lives, and who can see it

Everything lives in one family account that you as the parent control. No other family can see your stories or the details you enter, and nothing is public.

Your stories are stored securely in the cloud (Google Cloud) and encrypted while they travel to and from your device. This is a connected app, not one that keeps everything only on your phone.

The key that talks to the AI stays on our server. It is never sent to your device or browser, so story generation always runs server-side.

No ads, no tracking

DreamTales runs no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking SDKs. It uses no device or advertising IDs and no location data. We never sell or share your data or your child's.

If you subscribe, your card details are handled entirely by our payment provider, Stripe. The app never sees them.

You are in control

You can delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Account → Delete account. It permanently erases everything about the children you added, every story, illustration, and narration, and all your settings.

One thing to know: deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it separately in the Stripe billing portal (Dashboard → Account → Manage subscription), so you are not charged again.
